“I’m not particularly happy,” Conte admitted

Tottenham manager Antonio Conte has indicated that his team’s Boxing Day encounter against Brentford will feature only players who did not compete in the World Cup.

The Premier League returns to action on Monday, only eight days after the World Cup final in Qatar.

Conte has previously stated that his final-day players, Hugo Lloris of France and Cristian Romero of Argentina, will not face the Bees.

“On the one hand, you are glad because for my club, Tottenham, to have 12 players in the World Cup it means that we are in the right way to try to be competitive and to try to win something.

Moura’s tendon condition is still present. Conte stated about Moura: “He is working hard to find a solution.

“It’s challenging since I have a terrific guy in my squad who is always unavailable. It’s almost as if you don’t have him.

“It’s unfortunate because we’re talking about a fantastic player and a wonderful guy working hard to overcome this situation. I’m not sure what will happen to him in the future.”
