Julen Lopetegui, manager of Wolverhampton Wanderers, expressed his disbelief after a potential winning goal from his side was ruled out for offside against Matheus Nunes in the draw with Liverpool. He also disagreed with Mohamed Salah’s goal for Liverpool being allowed to stand due to Salah appearing to be in an offside position during the build-up. The VAR had no camera angle that could provide evidence to overturn the decisions, so Wolves had to settle for a 2-2 draw. Lopetegui said it was “a pity,” as he believed that his players deserved a victory and progress into the next round of the FA Cup.
